AD60: Corona & Jurupa Valley
What are Assembly District Delegates?
Every two years, the CA Democrats elect 7 self-identified females and 7 other than self-identified females from each Assembly District in CA as delegates to the state party. Those who are elected will have a chance to vote for the new party chair and other leadership. The race is hotly contested and will determine how welcoming, grassroots-focused and innovative the party becomes or how beholden it will remain to big money interests.
Delegates elect Party officers, endorse candidates for statewide, legislative and congressional office, attend the annual convention, network with other Democrats, represent your constituency, promote the California Democratic Party agenda, and vote to endorse resolutions and ballot measures.
You get 14 votes for delegates, 1 of which you must also vote for Executive Board Representative.

I want to be part of the democratic process and have an effect on decisions that will be made. I also want to be informed about candidates since they will be chosen. These candidates will affect my life and the life of my children. I need to be aware of there beliefs. I want to be an informed voter.
I have been organizing in AD 60 and across Riverside County for the past decade – working to engage our community in the electoral process and ensure that our elected officials are representing the interests of our community.
I am currently a Healthcare Advocate with Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest and I was recently elected to the Corona City Council.
I am running to be an Assembly District Delegate to continue pushing our party’s platform forward toward equity and justice.
I look forward to earning your vote.
I’ve always been very interested in politics, even at a young age, but I never was involved. In 2015 I decided that it was time to change that. I was elated to volunteer for the Hillary 16 Campaign and from that moment on I was hooked.
The tragedy of 2016 was what further motivated me to stay active and involved in politics. I joined my local Indivisble group and my local Dem Club and immediately started participating in marches and trying to register others to vote. I was appointed Voter Reg Officer for both my Indivisble group and my local Dem Club, Democrats of Corona Norco.
After getting my feet wet my passion for politics and staying engaged grew. I then joined the Campaign for Julia Peacock, a teacher running for Congress in CA 42 against 25-year incumbent Ken Calvert. I started as a canvassing volunteer and then I was quickly asked to be a Precinct Lead. I eventually became a Field Organizer for the Campaign. It was a challenge, but it was a blast. I learned so much about what being a real community organizer was, I knew then that I had to keep active. My passion for politics and social justice issues has kept my finger on the pulse of the community. I have always wanted to be a delegate for the Democratic Party, so here I am, applying to be the leader that I have always wanted to be. I love people and helping others. I love to get involved in something that I believe in. I love being part of a strong team. I would absolutely love to be elected as an assembly delegate for AD60. I’m driven to continue my crusade of bettering the lives of the people in my community and that is why I’m asking to be elected. Thank you for considering me as a delegate, I commit to the responsibility of moving the people and the Party forward in the future. Progress is my goal and there is no stopping me.
I am running to serve as an AD 60 District Delegate to ensure that working families, young women, and people of color have a strong voice within our party.
Over the past two years, I have seen firsthand how effective leadership benefits the livelihood of all residents within Western Riverside County, and look forward to continue advocating for policies and candidates that advance our democratic values.
As a proud California Democrat, I know I have the foresight to bring creative ideas to our party. I would be honored to have your support and vote.
I would be honored to have your support to continue serving as a Democratic Party Delegate for Assembly District 60. I was proud to earn your confidence and vote in 2016 and will be proud to earn your confidence and vote this time, in 2018.
I am a committed Democrat, belonging to the Democrats of Corona-Norco Club as an active member and having attended the CDP Conventions since 2013.
My priority is to keep advocating for a progressive policy platform as well as electing candidates that share those values.
I thank you in advance for your vote and confidence.
As a civil rights activist I intend to continue to work with other CA Democratic Party leaders and activists to ensure that our Party continues to advocate for civil rights, immigrants’ rights, and human rights for all. California has what it takes to lead the rest of the country in resisting and countering Trump’s racist, divisive, and dangerous policies and rhetoric. I will also continue to focus on helping elect more Democrats into various local, state and federal offices.
I hope I can earn your support.
I have been active in the Democrats of Corona-Norco for a number of years.
I am also an alternate on the Riverside County Democratic Party.
I have been very active in the races for a number of key Democratics in the Riverside County area.
We need to be the voice for our endorsed candidates!
This past election showed how close elections can be and how every vote counts. I would be pleased and proud to help further the democratic process.
